St. James Court

St. James Court is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to 29 people, with capacity for up to 58 older people, including those living with dementia. The service demonstrated good practice in its admission procedures, following current guidance to protect residents from cross-infection. New admissions were required to provide negative covid-19 test results before entry, followed by a 14-day isolation period. The provider had identified designated bedrooms in one area of the home specifically for isolating symptomatic residents, with designated staff assigned to provide care for isolated individuals.
