Rowanbrook Care Home

Rowanbrook Care Home in Walsall provides nursing and residential care for up to 54 adults, including some living with dementia or mental health conditions. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall, with safeguarding incidents not always reported, risks around medicines and behaviours that challenge inadequately managed, and people not consistently treated with kindness or offered choices.

Inspectors also found leadership and governance weak, with staff not always confident to raise concerns, and gaps in support for people with learning disabilities. Staffing levels and infection control were satisfactory, and people's physical health needs were generally well met. The CQC identified three breaches, relating to person-centred care, safe care and treatment, and good governance, and has asked the provider for an action plan.
