Riverside Care Centre

Riverside Care Centre is a residential care home providing personal care to 24 people with a learning disability and/or autism. The service is divided into three separate houses with eight people living in each home, alongside a separate office block on the grounds. The home recently changed provider but had been operating for several years prior.

Staff support people to have maximum choice and control over their lives in the least restrictive way possible. People are assessed to identify potential risks, and systems are in place to safeguard them from abuse. Staff demonstrate knowledge about safe support practices, and the home implements infection control measures and safe medicine management. Care planning is person-centred, with observations and records showing that people experience choice and control over their support.
