Riverlee Residential and Nursing Home

Riverlee provides residential and nursing care for up to 75 older people across three floors, with a specialisation in dementia care. At inspection, 68 people were using the service. Inspectors found that risks to people's health and safety were not always effectively assessed, and guidance to reduce possible risks was not consistently available. Medicines were not always managed safely, and the systems in place to assess and monitor the quality and safety of services were not robust enough.

The service had safeguarding procedures in place and appropriate recruitment checks were carried out before staff started work. There were sufficient staff available to meet people's care and support needs, and procedures were in place to reduce infection risks. People's care and support needs were assessed before they began using the service.
