About Brownhill Lodge

Brownhill Lodge is a nursing home in Lewisham providing care for older people living with dementia. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Brownhill Lodge provides residential care for older people with dementia and accommodates up to 21 people. At the time of inspection, 16 people were using the service. The home demonstrated strong infection prevention and control practices, with clear visitor guidance displayed and explained by receptionists.

Staff adhered to personal protective equipment and social distancing requirements, and people were supported to see visitors in the garden or via phone and video calls when indoor visits weren't possible. The service maintained up-to-date infection prevention policies, including isolation rooms for people with COVID-19 or those admitted from hospital. The home was well ventilated with layouts and hygiene practices that promoted safety, and vulnerable staff had risk assessments in place with furlough schemes available where needed.
