Reinbek

Reinbek is a residential care home providing personal care to 36 older people with various conditions, with capacity for up to 46 residents. Care is delivered across two floors with four separate units, each with its own kitchenette, lounge and dining area. People are generally free to move throughout the home.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, staff and residents are separated into four cohorts to minimise infection risk. The service maintained good infection prevention standards with thorough cleaning protocols and readily available personal protective equipment for all staff. To support residents during isolation, the provider facilitated video calls with family and friends, and dedicated support time with assigned staff members. A visiting pod with secure glass screening and two-way speaker system was installed on the ground floor, allowing relatives to visit residents while maintaining COVID-19 safety measures.
