Oakwood Acquired Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service

Oakwood is a purpose-built home accommodating up to 13 adults with acquired brain injuries. The service was fully engaged with Covid-19 testing and vaccination programmes, with all staff and residents tested in line with current guidance and vaccinations offered to those who wanted them. Clear signage throughout the home encouraged social distancing and good hand hygiene practices.

The service actively supported residents in maintaining contact with families and friends, adapting visiting arrangements to comply with local lockdown restrictions. Staff facilitated these connections as an important part of residents' wellbeing and social engagement.
