Redwood House

Redwood House is a domestic-style care home supporting up to 7 people with learning disabilities, providing personal care and accommodation. At inspection, all 7 beds were occupied. Staff demonstrated strong infection control practices, including daily temperature checks for COVID-19 symptoms, regular testing, and correct use of personal protective equipment with weekly stock monitoring. The manager ensured staff received face-to-face training on infection prevention and control measures. Social distancing was promoted among staff and in interactions with people using the service.

The home was clean and well-maintained with adequate staffing levels. Staff supported people in a calm and kind manner, and people were enabled to maintain contact with relatives and access the community in safe ways. The registered manager conducted regular checks to ensure good infection control practices were maintained throughout the home.
