Redwood House

Redwood House provides accommodation and personal care for people who need support with daily living. The CQC rates the home as requires improvement overall, finding three breaches of legal regulations relating to safe care, person-centred care and governance. Inspectors found risks to people's health and safety were not always properly assessed, the environment was not always safe or well maintained, and medicines were not always managed safely.

Care plans did not always reflect people's cultural or religious needs, and oversight of quality and safety needed strengthening. On a more positive note, staff were found to be kind, understood safeguarding, and felt supported, while relatives spoke positively about staff and felt kept informed.
