About Mulberry House

Mulberry House is a residential care home in Luton, offering support to autistic people and people with a learning disability. Further details on the service can be found in the CQC findings below.

Mulberry House is a specialist care home supporting a small number of autistic people and people with a learning disability. The CQC found the service overall good, with kind, patient staff, a safe and well-maintained environment, and people supported to keep in touch with family and access community activities and health services such as physiotherapy.

Previous breaches around governance, safe care and person-centred planning had been resolved. Some records and medicines protocols remained generic rather than fully personalised, and governance improvements were not yet fully embedded. Support to build people's independence was also inconsistent, though people and relatives said they felt safe and found staff approachable.
