The Grove -4

The Grove supports up to seven autistic people and those living with a learning disability in a small residential home with personalised bedrooms and shared communal spaces including lounges, a kitchen and garden. At the time of inspection, the service was at full capacity with seven residents. The home had implemented robust infection control measures including visitor testing requirements and appropriate use of personal protective equipment by staff. The registered manager adapted the physical environment and daily routines to support social distancing, such as rearranging furniture and staggering meal times according to residents' preferences. Staff received training in infection prevention and control practices, and the provider ensured consistency in staffing by retaining the same agency workers. Residents were actively encouraged to maintain good hygiene practices including regular hand washing.
