Ramsey Step Down and Care Centre

Ramsey Step Down and Care Centre provides personal and nursing care for up to 37 people, primarily supporting patients discharged from hospital who require continuing nursing care. The service originated during the COVID-19 pandemic as a step down facility and continues this focus, though some residents have chosen to stay longer term while others receive end of life care. At inspection, 26 people were using the service.

The registered manager and provider had not established effective systems to protect people from risk or ensure quality care. Formal oversight of clinical care and quality checks were inadequate and had failed to identify significant concerns affecting the service.
