Rakewood House Care Home

Rakewood House Care Home provides accommodation and nursing care for up to 30 people, with 26 living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding that management systems, staffing, medicines and record keeping had improved since concerns were raised about nutrition, hydration and care standards. The registered manager was working closely with the local authority to sustain these improvements.

Inspectors found people and relatives felt safe, well cared for and welcomed at any time, and the home was clean and comfortable. Some staff felt more colleagues were needed at busy times, and activities for those spending long periods in their rooms needed more variety to reduce isolation.
