The CQC rated the service Good overall, following an assessment focused on safeguarding, risk management, staffing levels and residents' independence, choice and control.

Inspectors found relatives and visitors felt their loved ones were safe and well cared for. Staff knew people well and understood their individual needs and preferences, and families were kept involved and updated about changes to care.

Prideaux Lodge is a residential care home providing accommodation and personal care to up to 20 people. The service provides support to people who are living with dementia. We carried out our on-site assessment on 12 December 2023, off site assessment activity started on 06 December 2023 and ended on 21 December 2023. We looked at 5 quality statements; Safeguarding; Involving people to manage risks; Safe and effective staffing; Independence, choice and control and Equity in experiences and outcomes. Following this assessment the service has received a rating of good for all quality statements assessed.
