About Earlsfield Court

Earlsfield Court is a residential care home in East Sussex, providing support for older people, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. The findings below set out what the Care Quality Commission observed on its most recent inspection.

Earlsfield Court provides residential care for older people, including those living with dementia and physical disabilities. The service is registered for up to 72 people across three floors operating as separate units, though only two floors were in use at the time of inspection. The ground floor supports people with general frailty and conditions such as Parkinson's disease and mobility problems, while the top floor is dedicated to dementia care.

At inspection, 23 people were living at the home—17 on the ground floor and six on the top floor.

A new management team had recently been appointed. Communication and quality systems throughout the service needed further development to support quality care, including better communication between staff and more effective use of information from complaints and incidents to drive improvements. Medicines were handled safely.
