This residential care home accommodates up to 32 older people, including those with physical disabilities. At the time of inspection, 21 people were using the service. The home has made significant improvements in fire safety management, including recommissioning automatic fire door release mechanisms and installing additional fire doors. Staff have developed detailed evacuation plans identifying the level of support each resident would need in an emergency. The home has also upgraded equipment, with pressure relieving mattresses correctly configured and bath hoists repaired, and staff now provide appropriate support with medicines in different forms.

However, areas for improvement remain. Staff have not consistently documented incidents, and accident audits lack comprehensiveness. Medicine systems and records also require further attention, despite new guidance being introduced for staff on using 'as required' medicines. The home has implemented systems to help manage these areas, but additional work is needed to ensure full compliance and safety standards across all documentation and medicine management practices.
