Peterlee Care Home

Peterlee Care Home provides accommodation, personal and nursing care for up to 44 people, including older people, some living with dementia, and people with a learning disability or autism. The CQC assessed the service partly due to concerns about safety, access to health professionals and staffing, but found these were not substantiated. The home retained its overall Good rating.

Inspectors found risks were well managed, staffing levels were adequate and staff knew people's needs. Care was described as compassionate, with a warm atmosphere and good links to healthcare professionals. Leadership was effective, with regular monitoring and feedback from people, relatives and staff, who spoke positively about the care provided.
