Ashwood Park Residential and Nursing Home

The home provides personal and nursing care for up to 65 people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, 64 residents were living there. People felt safe and spoke highly of staff, describing them as kind, caring and patient. One relative commented, "The staff are kind, they are caring and they treat people as individuals and with dignity," while another said, "It is a lovely, caring environment. The staff are nice and caring, there is never any shouting or saying 'wait a minute'. All the staff are patient from the manager down."

Staff effectively safeguarded people from abuse and managed risks to individuals and the environment well. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs, and the home learned from accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences. Medicines were safely managed throughout the home.
