Park View Care Home

Park View provides nursing and personal care for up to 56 people, some living with dementia. At the time of inspection, 25 people resided there. However, significant concerns were identified around the quality and safety of care provided. Care records did not consistently reflect people's needs and choices, and staff lacked essential information about how to safely care for residents because risks were not always properly assessed. Medicines management was unsafe, with no clear records or processes for administering thickening agents. Staff demonstrated limited understanding of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and when Deprivation of Liberty Safeguard applications were necessary. The home's quality assurance systems were ineffective, failing to identify areas requiring improvement. People were not consistently supported to have maximum choice and control over their lives, and staff did not always support them in the least restrictive way possible.
