About Orchard Court

Orchard Court is a residential care home in East Riding of Yorkshire, providing accommodation and personal care for older people. Details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Orchard Court, in East Riding of Yorkshire, is a care home providing accommodation and personal care for up to 43 older people. The CQC rated the service as requiring improvement, finding unsafe medicines management, gaps in staff training, poor record-keeping and environmental shortfalls, alongside breaches of regulations covering safe care and governance.

Inspectors also found people had not always been involved in decisions about their care. Despite this, most people described staff as kind and respectful, meals were well regarded, and a new manager and provider had begun making improvements, including refurbishment work and stronger checks on medicines.
