Oldfield House Residential Care Home

This residential care home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 18 older people, including those living with dementia. At inspection, the home was at full capacity with 18 residents. People living there felt safe, with staff recruited through appropriate procedures and sufficient numbers available to meet residents' needs. Staff demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding procedures and medicines were managed safely, with regular monitoring of accidents and incidents. Health and safety checks were current and appropriate.

Staff had completed training tailored to residents' needs and supported people effectively with nutrition and daily living. The service operated policies ensuring residents had maximum choice and control over their lives, with staff supporting them through the least restrictive approaches and in their best interests. A development plan was in place and improvements were already visible during the inspection visit.
