Oakwood House Care Home

This residential and nursing care home accommodates up to 50 people, including those requiring post-hospital rehabilitation. At inspection, 36 people were using the service across nursing beds on the ground floor and residential or rehabilitation spaces upstairs. Relatives expressed satisfaction with care, with one saying, "I want my [family member] to be looked after, and they are." Staff demonstrated clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and appropriately referred and investigated concerns.

Risk management was generally well documented, though some daily records required more diligent completion. An electronic records system was being introduced to strengthen this area. The home maintained high standards in environment and equipment safety, with fire systems and other critical systems regularly monitored. Infection control practices were robust and the service was kept clean.
