Oakdene Care Home

The home provides personal and nursing care to up to 35 older people with physical and mental health needs, with 29 residents at the time of inspection. Significant improvements have been made under the registered manager, who has worked with the provider to enhance care standards, environment, and quality monitoring processes. Residents reported feeling safe, with safeguarding concerns managed appropriately and processes in place for learning from events.

Environmental and personal risks are well managed through assessments using nationally recognised tools and targeted risk reduction measures. Staff numbers are adequate, recruited safely, and receive appropriate training. Medicines are managed safely with robust quality monitoring systems to prevent errors. The service maintains high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention and control, reducing infection risk for residents.
