The service has implemented clear infection control procedures including temperature checks, hand sanitisation, and mask wearing for all staff and visitors. A visitor's code of conduct was developed and communicated to families, with a dedicated venue hired to facilitate social distancing during winter visits. The provider encouraged visitors and residents to bring their own food and drink.

Staff developed online activities called 'The Hive' offering Zumba, yoga and music sessions via Zoom, enabling family members to participate remotely. When people were unable to go on holiday due to risks, the service organised a creative alternative with camping, a barbecue, campfire and bar to provide entertainment and social connection.
