Bendalls Farm

Bendalls Farm is a specialist care home supporting people with complex mental health needs, learning disabilities, and emotional distress. Located in the Mendip Hills as part of a wider farm development, the home has ten en-suite bedrooms, a shared lounge with games room, and a communal dining area. Eight people currently live at the home.

All residents spoken with felt safe at Bendalls Farm, and inspectors observed relaxed, natural interactions between people and staff. Staff demonstrated good knowledge of residents' needs and responded to them promptly. Since the last inspection, the registered manager introduced new auditing processes for infection control and COVID-19 management, while the home underwent refurbishment to improve safety and quality of life. However, staffing levels generated mixed feedback from staff, with the provider actively recruiting and retaining staff amid wider sector shortages.
