Nightingales Residential Care Home

Nightingales Residential Care Home provides personal care for up to 35 older people, most living with dementia. The CQC rated the service Requires Improvement overall, finding breaches around governance, risk management, medicines, staffing levels, recruitment checks and person-centred care. Care plans did not always reflect people's needs, and mental capacity assessments lacked proper context or input from people and families.

Inspectors also found positives: staff knew people well, the home was clean, and healthcare support was good. Relatives spoke warmly of staff kindness and improvements in their loved ones' wellbeing. The provider had begun addressing shortfalls, and an action plan has been requested.
