Mount Elton Nursing Home

Mount Elton Nursing Home provides personal and nursing care to up to 24 people aged 65 and over, with 20 people living there at the time of assessment. The CQC rated the service good overall, an improvement on its previous requires improvement rating.

Inspectors found people were safe, well cared for and supported by a stable, kind staff team, with good access to health professionals and appointments. However, governance remained an area of concern: shortfalls were found in safeguarding notifications, mental capacity assessments, care plan detail and complaints handling, resulting in a breach of regulation and a requires improvement rating for leadership.
