About Moorleigh Nursing Home

Moorleigh Nursing Home is a nursing home in Leeds, providing care for older people with a range of needs. Details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Moorleigh Nursing Home in Leeds is a nursing home providing care for older people living with dementia, nursing needs, sensory impairments and physical disabilities. Overall, the CQC rated the service as Requires Improvement. Inspectors found kind, person-centred care and effective support with healthy outcomes, but identified breaches around safe medicines management, infection control and the state of the premises, with several bathrooms, toilets and the kitchen needing renovation.

Governance systems were not consistently catching these gaps. Feedback on food, staff kindness and safety was largely positive, though relatives and staff felt activity provision and staffing time for meaningful engagement were limited. The provider has been asked for an action plan to address the concerns found.
