Montague House

This residential care home provides personal and nursing care for up to 70 people, including older adults and younger people living with dementia. At inspection, 43 people were using the service, which is arranged over three floors with individual bedrooms featuring en-suite toilets. Residents have access to communal facilities including lounges, dining rooms, a cinema room, café, hairdressing room, spa bathrooms and a garden. Six luxury suites offer a bedroom, ensuite and private lounge for those who prefer additional privacy.

Inspectors found that medicines were not always managed safely, with some monitoring systems not implemented effectively. While risks to people's safety and well-being were assessed and planned for, risk assessments and care plans sometimes lacked detailed information, though staff's strong knowledge of individuals meant this had not affected care quality. Not all staff had completed required fire drill training. The home investigated incidents, accidents and complaints and used these to improve services.
