Field Lodge

Field Lodge, in Cambridgeshire, is a care home with nursing providing accommodation for up to 72 people, many living with dementia and some with nursing needs. The CQC rated the service Good overall, finding that people received safe, effective care, were protected from avoidable harm and had their medicines managed properly. Recruitment, infection control and cleanliness were all satisfactory, and staff received regular training with competencies checked.

Inspectors found people and relatives spoke positively about kind, attentive staff who understood their needs and preferences. People were supported to make choices about their day, including access to a garden and social activities, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Staff described a supportive management team and a culture of learning and improvement.
