Cromwell House Care Home

Cromwell House Care Home provides nursing and personal care to up to 66 older people, some living with dementia. The service operates across three separate floors with adapted facilities. At inspection, 49 people were using the service. Inspectors found extensive improvements had been made since the previous inspection, though ongoing reviews were needed to ensure these were fully embedded. The registered manager and nominated individual were committed to further developing the service.

However, inspectors identified areas requiring attention. People and their relatives reported they were not routinely involved in ongoing care planning discussions. The provider was recommended to review how people and families are engaged in this process. Additionally, oversight and staff support systems need strengthening, particularly guidance available to staff when the registered manager is absent. The provider was advised to ensure robust processes and continued monitoring of systems remain in place.
