Monread Lodge

Monread Lodge provides accommodation and personal and nursing care to 54 people, with capacity for up to 62. The home has experienced a high number of skin tears among residents, both explained and unexplained, despite additional staff training and appropriate reporting. Pressure care management remains inconsistent, with mattresses not always set correctly and repositioning sometimes missed.

Staff have received training in dementia care and are generally kind and attentive, though people living with dementia are not always supported swiftly or in ways that effectively reduce the risk of distressed behaviours. The home continues to work on improving these areas of practice to ensure safer and more consistent care for all residents.
