About Milton Grange

Milton Grange is a nursing home in East Sussex, providing rehabilitation and personal care for older people, including those living with dementia and those with mental health needs. Full details of the most recent CQC inspection are set out below.

Milton Grange provides short-term rehabilitation and personal care for up to 37 older people, with separate areas for those living with dementia, older people, and those with mental health issues. At the time of inspection, 29 people were using the service, though 377 people had used it over the past 12 months. The registered manager oversaw regular auditing and promoted a positive, welcoming culture.

Care was person-centred, reflected in recently updated and reviewed care plans.

The service had experienced a high number of medicine errors and near misses in the previous 12 months. One medicine error was discovered during the inspection and immediately addressed. Following the visit, documents confirmed that medicine audits took place regularly and learning was shared with staff to improve practice.
