Millbrook House

Millbrook House provides accommodation and personal care for up to eight young adults with learning disabilities and autistic spectrum disorder. The service occupies an adapted manor house with one main communal lounge, en-suite bedrooms, and some residents have their own lounges and kitchens. The building sits within grounds that also house a children's service, allowing some young people to transition from the children's to the young adults service.

Inspectors noted that the service had not been designed in line with best practice guidance to support residents in living full lives. The physical environment and service structure reflected this gap in alignment with contemporary approaches to residential care for this population.
