About Pennine Care Centre

Pennine Care Centre is a residential care home in Derbyshire, providing accommodation and personal care for people who need support with daily living and independence. Details of the latest CQC findings are set out below.

Pennine Care Centre provides accommodation and personal care for people who need support with daily living and independence. The CQC found the service requires improvement overall, with breaches relating to safe care, dignity and governance. Concerns included safeguarding and risk assessment shortfalls, cleanliness and kitchen process issues, inconsistent records, and audits that had not yet shown sustained improvement.

On a more positive note, inspectors found people were supported with independence and involved in their care, staffing levels were adequate, and medicines were managed well. People described staff as kind and responsive, though not all felt privacy and dignity were consistently respected. The provider has been asked for an action plan.
