Mill Lodge

Mill Lodge provides personal and nursing care for up to 42 residents, with 36 people using the service at the time of inspection. Staff demonstrated strong commitment to protecting people's privacy and dignity while understanding and responding to individual needs. The service maintained effective safeguarding practices and worked well with other agencies to protect people from poor care and abuse. There were sufficient appropriately skilled staff to meet residents' needs and keep them safe.

Staff were described as dedicated, passionate and committed, providing care in a dignified and respectful manner. They understood people's cultural needs and delivered culturally appropriate support, engaging with residents in a compassionate way. The service supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives, with policies and systems in place to ensure care was provided in the least restrictive way possible while serving residents' best interests. Leadership and management of the service was effective.
