The Links Care Centre

The Links Care Centre is a nursing home providing nursing and personal care to people with dementia and other complex mental health issues. It accommodates up to 85 people across five self-contained units, with 66 residents living there at the time of inspection.

Staff did not consistently follow the provider's COVID-19 policy or government infection and protection guidelines, creating a risk of infection transfer. Although health and safety risk assessments were in place and contained person-centred information, these plans were not always followed in practice. The home had audits and quality monitoring checks in place, but these had failed to identify the risks that were found during the inspection.
