Milestones

Milestones is a residential care home supporting four people with learning disabilities. Residents expressed satisfaction with the service, with one person saying, "I like living at Milestones," while staff described it as "a nice place to work." The home has strengthened its staff recruitment procedures and improved records management for medicines. Staff receive training and support to meet residents' individual needs, and people are supported to make choices about their lives in the least restrictive way possible.

The service protects people from harm and abuse, with staff and management demonstrating clear understanding of safeguarding responsibilities. Risks to people's safety are identified and assessed, with appropriate action taken. Residents receive individualised care reflecting their personal preferences and routines, and are involved in planning and reviewing their support. The home maintains quality checks to drive continuous improvement and has arrangements in place to investigate and respond to complaints.
