Middle Path

Autism Wessex - Middle Path provides residential care for up to 4 autistic people or those with complex needs linked to brain injury. The home consists of a main house accommodating 3 people and an attached 1-bedroom annexe. At inspection, 3 people lived in the main home and 1 in the annexe.

Staff assessed and regularly reviewed risks, and people reported feeling safe, as confirmed by relatives and health professionals. A consistent team of carers knew residents well and understood their individual needs. People were supported to make choices and maintain control of their lives, with staff using the least restrictive approaches and acting in their best interests. Staff demonstrated knowledge of safeguarding and abuse prevention, and residents received medicines on time with annual reviews to prevent over-medication.
