The service demonstrated strong infection control measures, including individual COVID-19 risk assessments tailored to each person's needs. Staff communicated creatively with residents, using hand signals and maintaining physical distance where necessary. The home supported residents to maintain meaningful contact with family and friends through online video calling and supervised visits. One resident was enabled to see her grandchildren by arranging garden visits alongside indoor visits with nominated relatives. A local health centre provided vaccinations and boosters on site, ensuring all residents and staff were fully protected. The home had experienced no COVID-19 cases among residents throughout the pandemic.
