The home provides accommodation and personal care for up to 28 people, with 15 residents living there at the time of inspection, some with dementia. While medicines were administered safely by trained staff with assessed competency, and medication records were completed robustly, the quality monitoring systems were not always effective. These systems failed to highlight all issues identified during the inspection and did not clearly track whether actions had been taken to address problems.

The manager was not always aware of audit findings, limiting their ability to drive improvements in quality and safety. Homely remedies were not available, creating a risk that medicines would not be accessible when needed.

Residents reported feeling safe in the home, and procedures were in place to ensure safeguarding concerns were reported appropriately. However, further changes to medicines management were still required beyond the improvements already made.
