About Victoria House (Wallasey)

Victoria House is a residential care home in Wallasey, on the Wirral, providing personal care for adults, including people living with dementia. Further details of the CQC's most recent findings are set out below.

Victoria House in Wallasey is a residential care home providing personal care to up to 56 people, including those living with dementia. At the time of the assessment, 45 people were living there. The CQC carried out this review after concerns were raised about infection prevention and control, and the home remains rated requires improvement overall.

Inspectors found staff were knowledgeable about infection control and up to date with training, and the environment was mostly clean. However, learning from outbreaks did not always happen quickly enough, and record keeping needed to be more robust. Residents themselves spoke positively about cleanliness and staff use of protective equipment.
