Newhaven is a residential care home providing support to people with a learning disability. The CQC rated the service inadequate overall and has taken enforcement action against the provider. Inspectors found poor risk management, low staff training compliance, unassessed competencies, and weak medicines management, alongside a poor learning culture and inadequate governance.

Despite this, people and relatives spoke positively about daily care, describing kind and attentive staff. However, care plans were out of date, risk assessments were missing, and families were not involved in reviewing care. Inspectors found four breaches relating to safety, staffing and leadership.
