About Meadow Bank House

Meadow Bank House is a nursing care home in Bolton, providing personal and nursing care for older adults, including those living with dementia. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

This purpose-built care home provides personal and nursing care for up to 47 older adults, including those living with dementia, across two units called Primrose and Poppy. At inspection, 44 residents were living at the home. Staff respected people's privacy, dignity, and individual views when planning support, and communicated effectively with those with additional communication needs.

The home maintained robust systems to safeguard residents from abuse and managed medicines safely. Risk assessments were thorough, with appropriate measures in place to minimise hazards. Staff followed infection prevention and control guidance, and staffing levels were sufficient to meet residents' needs.

Managers recruited staff safely and people reported feeling well treated with their equality and diversity needs respected.
