Hollands Care Home

Hollands Care Home is a purpose-built residential care home providing personal care to up to 39 people, including older people and younger adults living with dementia, substance misuse, or mental health conditions. At inspection, 33 people were using the service. The home has shared communal areas, bathrooms, and lounges across its two-storey building.

Inspectors found that systems effectively safeguarded people from abuse, with risk assessments and supporting measures in place to minimise harm. Staff managed medicines safely and followed infection prevention and control guidance. Staffing levels were sufficient to meet people's needs, and recruitment practices were safe. Care plans contained detailed information about support required for nutrition, mobility, and personal care. Staff made appropriate referrals to other agencies when needed and supported people to have maximum choice and control of their lives in the least restrictive way possible, with policies and systems supporting this approach.
