Maylands

Maylands provides residential care with nursing support to 16 people with learning disabilities, some of whom are living with dementia. The home can accommodate up to 18 residents. The service also operates a supported living programme delivering personal care to people in their own homes, currently supporting 17 people.

Residents and their relatives reported feeling happy and safe at the home. However, inspectors identified concerns about medicine management practices that were not consistently safe. The residential care service demonstrated a commitment to supporting people's wellbeing, though improvements were needed in how medications were handled and administered to residents.
