Bluebells Care Home

St Martins provides personal care to up to 30 older people, including those living with dementia, in one large adapted building. At inspection, 25 people were using the service. While relatives felt their loved ones were safe, the quality of care had deteriorated since the last inspection. People had not been adequately protected from abuse and discrimination, and the registered manager had failed to report incidents to the local safeguarding authority for investigation. Staff described a closed culture within the service, noting that the registered manager and senior staff were related to one another, which affected their ability to raise concerns openly.
