About Martham House

Martham House is a residential care home in Surrey, providing personal care and support to people with learning disabilities. The findings below set out the CQC's most recent assessment of the service.

Martham House is a residential care home providing personal care to eight people with learning disabilities, with capacity for up to ten residents. The service had developed pictorial stories to help explain Covid-19 and its impact to residents in ways suited to their individual understanding, including explanations about why staff wore masks. Staff and managers had access to a centralised system for keeping up to date with current Covid-19 guidance on topics such as personal protective equipment, visitors and new admissions.

Individual risk assessments were in place for all Black, Asian and minority ethnic staff members, as well as other staff who required or requested them due to health reasons.
