Margaret's Rest Home

Margaret's Rest Home provides personal care and support for older people. This follow-up assessment by the CQC checked progress since earlier breaches around medication, risk management and oversight. Inspectors found medication storage had improved, but ongoing weaknesses remained in medication management, oversight of the service and infection prevention and control.

Feedback gathered previously described mixed experiences, with people praising staff kindness but reporting understaffing, poor laundry standards and concerns about cleanliness and personal hygiene support. Some relatives felt concerns raised were not consistently acted upon. The home remains rated Requires Improvement overall, with the CQC requesting an action plan to address the shortfalls identified.
