Manor House

Manor House provides personal care and accommodation for up to 26 older adults living with dementia, physical disability or sensory impairment in a two-storey building with en-suite bedrooms, communal lounges and a dining room. At inspection, 24 people were receiving care. Improvements had been made to quality assurance systems, though checks had not identified some issues including gaps in risk management plans and concerns that medicine was not always stored safely. The provider was taking action to improve fire safety, including upgrades to the fire alarm and fire doors.

People felt safe at the service and staff understood how to recognise and report abuse. Staff recruitment included appropriate background checks. Infection prevention controls were mostly being followed. Residents were generally positive about the food provided and reported receiving a choice of meals.
