The Chimneys Residential Care Home

The Chimneys Residential Care Home provides care without nursing for older people, some living with physical disabilities, sensory impairments or dementia. At the time of the assessment, 22 people lived there. The CQC rated the home Good overall, finding that staff were safely recruited and responded promptly to people's needs, with medicines managed well and safety incidents reviewed to support learning.

Inspectors found people and relatives spoke warmly of the care provided, describing a supportive, open culture where staff built genuine bonds with residents. Care plans reflected individual preferences, and staff communicated flexibly to meet varied needs. The registered manager monitored quality closely and took action where standards fell short of expectations.
